Fall 2025 Important Dates 

We are excited for the fall soccer season! Please mark your calendars for important dates for the fall season. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates throughout the season.

Friday, August 29 - Monday, September 1
Fall Kickoff Classic Weekend
75+ teams from across Massachusetts and New Hampshire will compete over four days at the Maguire Field Complex and the High School to kick off the fall soccer season. 

Saturday, August 30
Fall Cookout Classic 
6 p.m.
Join us for the annual Fall Cookout Classic at North Reading High School. This event is open to all members of the soccer community as we kickoff our fall season!

Thursday, September 4
Soccer Gear Swap
4-6 p.m. - Maguire Field
This program is aimed at easing the burden on families, as well as minimizing the year over year waste. In need of new gear? Come by and pick something up. Have gear to donate? Please consider donating gently used cleats, shin guards, socks and goalie gloves.

Friday, September 5
Kindergarten Meet your Team Pizza Night – IRP Pavilion
5-6 p.m.

Kindergarten players come meet your coaches. Players and families join us for pizza and to meet your coaches prior to the start of the fall season. For new players to NRYS in need of a green/white reversible North Reading Youth Soccer jersey for the season, they may be purchased for $25. Cash or check made payable to "North Reading Youth Soccer". 

Saturday, September 6
Opening Weekend for Travel teams 
Travel schedules can be found on the Essex County Youth Soccer Association (ECYSA) website. Please note that dates and times of matches are subject to change. 

Saturday, September 6
Opening Weekend for Intramural Soccer 
Intramural games will be played on Saturday mornings at Ipswich River Park. Times for each age group can be found on the NRYS website. 

Saturday, September 13
Food Pantry Drive
IRP and Maguire
Help support the North Reading Food Pantry. Please drop off non-perishable food to the bins near the Pavilion at IRP or Snack Shack at Maguire. The food pantry specifically is looking for family sized snacks, cleaning supplies, healthcare items, pasta, rice, soups and toiletries.

Sunday, September 7
Opening Weekend for TOPS 
The Fall 2025 season will run from September 7 to November 2 and will meet from 11 a.m.- Noon at Maguire Field. There will be no sessions on September 21 and October 12.

September and October
Team and individual photos will be scheduled throughout the season. Watch your email for more details. 
 
October 11 and October 12 – Indigenous Peoples' Day  Weekend
