North Reading Youth Soccer High School Scholarships

The North Reading Youth Association has established a scholarship fund to represent the Board of Directors and provide annual scholarships to graduating North Reading High School seniors who aspire to higher learning through recognized post-secondary institutions. 

All graduating North Reading High School seniors who participated in North Reading Youth Soccer are encouraged to apply for a scholarship. The deadline for submission for 2024 is April 30, 2024. 

Annually North Reading Youth Soccer provides the following scholarships:

The Janet Connelly O'Neill Award is the highest recognition offered. It is the oldest named scholarship and is awarded to the North Reading High School student who has done the most for North Reading Youth Soccer during their four years in high school. Multiple recipients could be awarded in the event of a tie.

The Peter Sapp Memorial Award is the second highest recognition offered. This was created in 2018 by the Sapp family and extended by the North Reading Youth Soccer Board. This scholarship is awarded to the North Reading High School student who has gone over and above in their commitment to North Reading Youth Soccer during their high school years. Multiple recipients could be recognized in the event of a tie. 

North Reading Youth Soccer Board of Directors Scholarships. They are students who have been part of North Reading Youth Soccer or volunteered with North Reading Youth Soccer in a meaningful way. Multiple recipients are typically awarded each year.
Criteria for assessing the applicants will be based on their history of: 
Overall involvement in North Reading Soccer
Volunteer time given to NRYS as a Coach, Referee, Development etc. 
General Community Involvement
Participation and commitment to soccer in general

Applications must include:
An outline of your accomplishments and participation in the above criteria
Three letters of reference
Record of the most current school marks available
Any other information you feel may enhance your chance
